Nonlinear stabilization by adding integrators

Abstract:

In this paper, we study the global stabilization, by means of smooth state feedback, of systems $(S)$ obtained by adding an integrator to a general nonlinear system $(\sum)$. We show how to compute the stabilizing feedback for $(S)$ when a stricte Lyapunov function for $(\sum)$ is difficult to find.
